Packaging

The Stage of Pruning Palm Trees

The Stage of Pruning Palm Trees The process of removing old clusters and supplying the tree with organic fertilizer and water to compensate for the lost elements in the tree from the previous season. This process is carried out in mid-October.

The Weeding Stage

The process of removing thorns from the new leaves on the tree to ensure healthy growth.

Inoculation Stage

The stage in which the palm trees are inoculated with male pollens

Reduction Stage

The stage in which the number of dates grains is reduced from the clusters. What is removed is nearly two-thirds of the grains on the trees as a way to get the best product in terms of size and quality.

Bending Stage

The stage in which the clusters are linked in the shape of an arch to keep the clusters from breaking-up.

Stage of Covering Dates Clusters

The stage where the clusters are placed inside the bags to protect the dates from birds and to prevent them from falling on the ground. This also helps in facilitating the process of harvest later.

Harvest Stage

The stage in which mature fruits are harvested and transported to the factory.

Receiving dates from the farms

At this stage, the harvested crop is received from the farm where the crop is transported in reusable plastic boxes that are intended for transporting fruits. They are then arranged on clean wooden pallets before they are transported for fumigation and then storage facilities until it gets the turn to enter the packing house.

Fumigation

At this stage, the crop is fumigated with thermal sterilization equipment and material to make sure it has no pesticides or insects to ensure product safety. After 48 hours, the dates are ready for the next stage in the packing house.

Preliminary Screening

At this stage, trained workers sort the dates conformity dates from non-conformity dates. They then classify the dates as dry, damaged, wet or mild before they remove all fruits that contain any damages.

Washing

At this stage, the dates are washed and cleaned from water residues. This occurs by placing the date in a washing conveyor belt. The dates then pass through the conveyor under the drying fans to dry it from the excess water from washing.

Machine Sorting

This stage is carried out in the packing house assigned to confirm the initial screening process. The sorting is done using the latest technology and advanced machines that sort the dates using optical lenses, scales and cameras depending on the size, weight, moisture content and skin separation.

Packaging

This stage is also carried out in the packing house, where the fruits are packed manually into carton containers with different sizes and weights. The package is then sealed with a plastic cover from all sides, and an outer cardboard cover and Tracking number are placed on the package.

Storage

At the last stage, after packing, the products are stored in freezers at -18°C until they are shipped.
